The Gospel of Mark Reading Plan
The Gospel of Mark is the earliest and simplest of the four Gospels — yet it’s anything but shallow. Mark moves fast, his sentences pulsing with urgency and purpose. From the very first line, “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God,” Mark draws us into the story of a Savior who doesn’t just talk about the kingdom — He brings it.
This reading plan is designed to help us see Jesus clearly — not as an abstract idea or distant figure, but as the living, breathing Son of God who meets us in the ordinary, interrupts our assumptions, and invites us to follow Him. Each passage shows us more of who He is, why He came, and what it means to walk in His steps.
As you read, don’t rush. Sit with the text. Let it confront, comfort, and reshape you. Mark’s Gospel doesn’t give us all the answers — it gives us an encounter. It shows us a Savior who heals, forgives, restores, and reigns — and who calls us to take up our cross and follow Him.
Our hope is that this journey through Mark will help our church family not only know about Jesus, but walk with Him — to see His compassion, hear His voice, and be changed by His presence.
Take your Bible, your questions, your coffee, and your heart — and let’s walk through the Gospel of Mark together.
